We are soul mates when it comes to music, in the way it touches us and it is what we ultimately dream of”. This sentence describes the idea behind JOHNA like nothing else does. “We’ve been looking for a long time for our own concept of music and sound. We know it exists and we know what to do.” That’s how Nadine Kraemer and Kolja Pfeiffer describe the development of JOHNA, which connects to the previous band “Nadine Kraemer Band”, with which both of them toured throughout Europe and where they have been the support to Lissie and Barclay James Harvest.

Now with Johna, they both found their perfect match in music. With Nadine Kraemer as singer and songwriter, the band Johna has a heart for pop arrangements that are reduced to its essentials. Each song is carried by Nadine’s voice, which is characterized by personal commitment, a very emotional sound and a non-existing distance, since she is telling a bit of her own story in every song. Johna is authentic and handmade. It’s challenging music is perfect to “lean back and relax” with a beautiful voice, where you can always find some of their musical influences, such as Sarah McLachlan, Rachel Yamagata or Jewel.
